The Seven Cooperative Principles
RUSK COUNTY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC.
By the 1930s, most urban centers in the United States were already enjoying electric service. But in rural areas like East Texas, folks were still dependent on wood stoves, coal oil lamps and hand-operated well pumps.

Then East Texans took matters into their own hands forming member-owned electric cooperatives like Rusk County Electric.
Serving locations in Gregg, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rusk and Shelby Counties since 1937
